Ladies and Gentlemen who please participate in the vital scientific meeting.

On behalf of the Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health, Thailand as a
co-host, I would like to thank all of you for contributing in resolving critical global health challenges, such as COVID-19, Monkeypox and other diseases or health hazards. It is my great honour to give a welcome remark at the 14th SEA Regional Scientific Meeting of the International Epidemiological Association and International Conference on Public Health and Sustainable Development.

Fundamentally, global citizens face the obstacle of having a good quality of life. Applying scientific-based evidence is essential in strengthening public health prevention, preparedness and effective response capacity in various aspects. This is the reason why we all are gathering here to share knowledge, update the progress of implementation and expand our collaborative efforts.

I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the invited speakers, moderators, distinguished delegates, esteemed colleagues, ladies and gentlemen for taking your time to contribute and participate in this meeting. We truly appreciate your kind presence, despite the overwhelming duty to combat COVID–19 and Monkeypox in your own countries.

Last but not least, I would like to give special thanks to our great collaborative partner, Mae Fah Luang University Thailand, for hosting and inviting us to join this crucial scientific meeting as a co-host. I hope that we will have extraordinary and fruitful conversations and networking activities, and make a bridge to strengthen our future collaboration for making scientific-based public health for creating healthier global community.
